So much emphasis is currently being placed on who’s right and who’s wrong, what’s right and what’s wrong, yet, that’s part of what’s perpetuating all of the seeming chaos. We need to get centered in awareness rather than polarized in “sides” and “rights” and “wrongs” or any form of divisiveness. Awareness is never divided and always healing. This seeming escalating divisiveness in our society is part of what humanity as a whole has to wake-up from to realize that we each need to take that “leap”, not of faith or belief, but of certainty and intuitive knowing.

The dangers of systemic racism have caused people to ask What can I do to make a difference? it’s not just one thing on one day, it’s a daily process. It is up to each of us to step as leaders in our communities, in our families, in our churches or organizations and our businesses and do something to make a difference. Lisa Nichols is doing this with her generous spirit and giving us her time, energy and conscious cultural conversations.

The breakdown of global economies, loss of jobs and vital resources signal the need to rethink our relationship to ourselves and our world.  And according to Lisa’s guest, Gregg Braden, there are no shortage of solutions to these huge challenges that we face.  We just have to examine the ‘thinking’ that has led us to these tipping points.  Listen in as he explains more about this concept.

Joining me first is the founder and President of the World Trust Educational Services, Dr. Shakti Butler. Her film “Healing Justice” addresses one of the systemic problems in our society that is the school to prison pipeline and we begin the conversation about what is happening right now in our current environment and the racial divide.

In order to change a system, we need to first become aware of the system to implement change. Understanding and interrupting the insidious racial divide has hit a crisis point and I finally believe we have reached a point where we cannot pretend this never happened. Voices are being heard and people who have been treated in any way different because of the skin color has become the center of attention rather than simply a “conversation that needs to happen”.

Kute Blackson was groomed to follow in his father’s footsteps as the minister of a large church in West Africa, only to realize his heart’s desire was to follow his own voice and to help others realize their full potential.

Kute tells his story in his latest book, You. Are. The. One. He joins me in the second half of this show to talk about Leadership, acknowledgement of rage and how to Love More.
