Why does self-healing work for some, but not all? When did we decide that the ability to heal ourselves lies in the hands of others? Today’s guest, Dr Lissa Rankin, talks about her brand-new book, “Sacred Medicine: A Doctor's Quest to Unravel the Mysteries of Healing.” She is a traditional medical doctor who has studied extensively with Indigenous people, as well as her study of trauma and recovery. Almost everyone has been traumatized at some point, whether a major traumatic event or through a series of smaller traumatic, stressful moments. Dr Rankin has specifically studied Internal Family Systems, as a way to resolve inner polarization. She has developed a method of teaching trauma-informed medicine and is currently teaching healthcare practitioners. Doctors do not typically treat our many wounded parts, yet our bodies know what to do, if given a chance. So much is present in our collective trauma—political instability, the pandemic, racism, the economy, and much more. Dr Rankin offers ideas of how to begin to heal, as an individual and with healthcare providers working in conjunction. This is Part 1 of the interview.  Info: LissaRankin.com

Would you like to learn answers and perspectives to some of life’s most pressing questions? How can you journey between sickness and wellness, poverty to abundance, stress to peace? Today’s guest, Esther Hicks, is an inspirational speaker and best-selling author who dialogs with a group of spiritual teachers who call themselves Abraham. Her partner, Jerry Hicks, originally started asking Abraham questions about life’s most important topics and Abraham offered wisdom and clarity about universal laws. Together they discuss climate change, war, sickness, and how to look at these situations from a contrasting view that causes us to reach new perspectives. Abraham knows we are leading-edge creators, and they teach us how to ask questions (whether personal or universal) and receive results. They explain how we have an inner GPS system which can guide our way. Where are you now and where do you want to be? There is vibrational relativity toward where you want to be. Abraham discusses how perfect our inner guidance systems truly are and how we are closer than ever by reaching for the best-feeling thought that we can find. That is the key. Abraham continues to offer answers and inspiration to these topics today. The teachings of Abraham help you learn how to manifest your desires so that you’re living the joyous and fulfilling life you deserve! This is Part 1 of the interview.  Info:  www.abraham-hicks.com

How is it that some people can perform moving pieces of music, or write a thrilling manuscript, or create a deeply emotional piece of art? What is the secret to artistic genius? Today’s guest is Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and iconic drummer of The Doors, John Densmore. In this uplifting interview, he talks about his latest book, “The Seekers – Meetings with Remarkable Musicians (and Other Artists).” Inspired by mystic G.I. Host Lisa Garr continues the conversation today with our guests, NYT best-selling author of “Happy for No Reason” Marci Shimoff and scholar, philosopher, and researcher Jean Houston, Ph.D, as they further delve into the idea of finding possibility, even in the face of deep suffering. Through the crisis of recent years, we are also preparing for a new way of being. They discuss the idea of how we can be supported now, as “future humans.” We hold access to powers that have never before been united in the human heart. If we stay united together and realize we are part of the cosmos, we can bond in unity. We have the power within us to access cosmic tools of consciousness. It involves a change of perspective and accessing our “cosmic heart” to recreate our mind/body/spirit relationship. As we wake up, we are weaving a new pattern of consciousness with Spiritual Activism. Jean talks about her experience in Africa of being shot at by child soldiers and how she calmed the situation. She shares a meditative exercise to send love and a heart connection to individuals by visualizing every person on this earth connected in love. We CAN create a planet of peace.
