The news is filled with stories of wars, pandemics, mass shootings, rights getting overturned, and so much continuous devastation, it could seem that we are living in End Times. Our guest today, scholar, philosopher, and researcher Jean Houston, Ph.D., delves into the idea of finding possibility, even during these times of great grief. We have been conditioned to respond to the terrible, but it does not have to be this way. As an icon in the Human Potential movement, Jean shares ideas about how the Renaissance, with its advancements in music, art, poetry, and cosmology, came after great plagues and times of war, much like the world situation today. Could we be in a new Renaissance period now? We are once again in a similar time of radical growth, and we have the power within us to see new possibilities and reach mythical potential in our human evolution.
Jean shares stories of her travels and talks about her friendship with scholar Joseph Campbell and how they would have “beautiful fights” which were friendly arguments and deep discussions about mythology and the fate of humanity. Campbell wrote extensively about the “Hero’s Journey,” while Jean considered the “Heroine’s Journey.” Part of the problem is that 50% of the human race is not being recognized for women’s immense creativity and power. Women’s ways are missing. With an emphasis on compassion, cooperation, community, and process rather than product and competition, humane creativity must be celebrated by acknowledging the achievements of women.
She also talks about her fateful meeting of evolutionary philosopher and Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin who became one of her mentors when she was much younger. At an early age, they would have profound discussions of time, history, and transformation, as she gained an alternate education of possibilities through their talks. Do you believe in reincarnation? Would you believe that many of today’s luminaries including Marianne Williamson and Oprah Winfrey may be reincarnated figures from the days of the American Revolution? Today’s guest is Walter Semkiw, M.D., who embarked on reincarnation research in 1995. He is the author of “Return of the Revolutionaries: The Case for Reincarnation and Soul Groups Reunited.” In this book, a cohort reincarnated from the time of the American Revolution is identified and he believes he may have been John Adams. The challenge in the research is to prove reincarnation using scientific methods, such as DNA analysis, which may show that certain portions of DNA sequencing are unique to an incarnating soul. Reincarnation cases demonstrate that facial features remain consistent from one lifetime to another. This observation suggests that the soul provides an energy template that the body forms around. Just as an orthopedic doctor utilizes a bone stimulator to shape bone, it appears that the soul projects an energy template that shapes the body and in particular, facial features. This template may also program certain portions of our DNA, according to Dr. Semkiw. He is also the author of “Born Again.” In this book, independently researched cases with evidence of reincarnation are compiled with a focus on the work of Ian Stevenson, MD, of the University of Virginia. Cases derived through world famous trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who has been featured in Shirley MacLaine’s books, are also presented. Dr Walter Semkiw passed away very recently, and we run this interview in his memory. Info: ReincarnationResearch.com.

How can we find meaning in life when so many events today are so tragic? With wars, inflation, the pandemic, climate change, and much more, what is happening with our world view? How can we find new thought processes to look at these crises? Our guest today, Dominican Friar Matthew Fox was expelled from the Catholic Church because of his controversial views. He was looking at revisiting the concept of Creation Spirituality and how we may see “Original Blessing” rather than “Original Sin.” As a spiritual theologian, an Episcopal priest, and an activist for gender justice and eco-justice, Matthew deeply discusses how Wisdom is Feminine and it is a time of the return of the Divine Feminine. He explains how the patriarchy crushed feminine wisdom. But that is changing. We are experiencing the dark night of our species – but there is so much hope. We are brilliant humans, with new technologies, and now humans have a greater chance of awakening than ever before. Because of mass media, and wars being televised, more people are connected and see the senseless suffering and offer help to those in need. Through Creation Spirituality, we “feel” more and we know that these are not just numbers, but actual human beings that are part of our human family on Earth. The reality of war humanizes it, as we see it. Mother Earth is also at war – the climate crisis is so severe that we must learn how our actions influence this change. Matthew suggests that we can refer to the mystics to gain wisdom. We must become even more compassionate so we may help and connect with one another. We cannot fall into despair. We cannot give up. The light can return.
Matthew has written 37 books that have been translated more than 70 times. Among them are “Original Blessing,” “The Coming of the Cosmic Christ,” and his newest collection of “Essential Writings on Creation Spirituality.” He has contributed much to the rediscovery of Hildegard of Bingen, Meister Eckhart, and Thomas Aquinas as pre-modern mystics and prophets. He holds a doctorate in the history and theology of spirituality. As the founder of the University of Creation Spirituality in CA, he conducts dozens of workshops each year and is a visiting scholar at the Academy for the Love of Learning. By joining the Episcopal church more than 20 years ago, Fox has been working with young people to reinvent forms of worship by bringing elements of rave such as dance, djs, and more into the Western Liturgy. The “Cosmic Mass” has been celebrated more than 100 times in dozens of cities in North America. Info: MatthewFox.org
Lisa continues her conversation today with guests Esther and Jerry Hicks, as Esther dialogs with a group of spiritual teachers who call themselves Abraham. How can you journey between sickness and wellness, poverty to abundance, stress to peace? Would you like to learn answers and perspectives to some of life’s most pressing questions? Abraham offers wisdom and clarity about universal laws. Together they discuss how to look at these situations from a contrasting view that causes us to reach new perspectives. Abraham knows we are leading-edge creators, and they teach us how to ask questions (whether personal or universal) and receive results. They explain how we have an inner GPS system which can guide our way. Where are you now and where do you want to be? There is vibrational relativity toward where you want to be. Abraham discusses how perfect our inner guidance systems truly are and how we are closer than ever by reaching for the best-feeling thought that we can find. That is the key. Abraham continues to offer answers and inspiration to these topics today. The teachings of Abraham help you learn how to manifest your desires so that you’re living the joyous and fulfilling life you deserve. They invite us to make peace with where we are and to know that everything is right on track. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: www.abraham-hicks.com
