Do you often wonder how memories are stored in our brains? Do you sometimes find yourself feeling forgetful? Would you like to improve your memory? Lisa continues the conversation today with authors and brain experts Drs. Andrew E. Budson and Elizabeth A. Kensinger. Together they share their years of clinical expertise and research to explain why we forget and offer tips for how we can begin to improve our memory.

Andrew E. Budson, MD received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School after majoring in chemistry and philosophy at Haverford College. Dr. Budson is Professor of Neurology at Boston University, Lecturer in Neurology at Harvard Medical School, and Chief of Cognitive & Behavioral Neurology at the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System. His career combines education, research, and clinical care to help those with memory disorders.

Elizabeth A. Kensinger, PhD majored in psychology and biology at Harvard University and received her PhD in neuroscience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and the Massachusetts General Hospital, she joined the faculty of Boston College, where she is now a Full Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. She directs a research laboratory that investigates many aspects of human memory, including how memory shifts as adults age and how emotion, stress, and sleep affect memory.

They will also offer ways to keep our brains as strong as we can, especially as we age, including the F.O.U.R. method. This includes Focused attention; Organizing the material we wish to remember; Understanding the material; Relating the memory to other things.  This method involves effort, but quickly works to have faster, clear memory retrieval. Their latest book is “Why We Forget and How to Remember Better: The Science Behind Memory.” This is Part 2 of the interview.  Info: AndrewBudsonMD.com   and https://www.bccanlab.com.

Today Lisa continues her conversation with mega-bestselling author Dr Wayne Dyer about the power of intention, and how we can learn to create a life we love.

Wayne, a dear friend of The Aware Show, joins us again to share his stories that create healing for all of us. He is one of the most popular best-selling authors and lecturers on spiritually motivational topics, and he will discuss how to look at life’s challenges and see the spiritual blessings and answers. Wayne talks about questioning your spirituality, especially when negative circumstances occur. If you feel you have experienced a series of misfortunes, he suggests stopping and reminding yourself that this is a universe of abundance. Ask “what am I doing to attract this?” then aim to bring in a Higher Energy. Stop yourself and put things into perspective. Believe that things will improve.

Wayne reminds us that we become what we think about. He advises us to put a picture on the refrigerator of how you would like to be. Use the “Power of Intention” and stay connected to Source Energy. Know that you are stronger than any addiction. Go to God for assistance. He also reminds us that for every act of evil, there are millions of acts of kindness, all over the world. There are just a few isolated people who are trying to convince us otherwise.

Wayne is an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development and is affectionately called the “father of motivation” by his fans. He’s the author of more than 35 books, has created audio programs and videos, and has appeared on thousands of television and radio shows. At the time of this interview, his latest book was “The Power of Intention.” His books “Manifest Your Destiny,” “Wisdom of the Ages,” “There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem,” and the New York Times bestsellers “10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace,” “The Power of Intention,” “Inspiration,” “Change Your Thoughts—Change Your Life,” “Excuses Begone,” and now “Wishes Fulfilled” have all been featured as National Public Television specials. He has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for public media, in an effort to raise consciousness. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: www.drwaynedyer.com

Did you know that different frequencies stimulate different parts of the brain?  Lisa continues the conversation today with author, visionary inventor, and Chi Gong Master David Wong. David will explain technologies that can help you bridge the gap between not feeling well and vibrant, optimal health. If we know that everything is energy, then it makes sense that the next level of medicine can incorporate cutting-edge technologies based on energy. He talks about these new wellness technologies which use vibrational frequencies. Just as martial arts uses the body’s own energy, David began to study the further connection of frequencies and vibrations.

David suffered for more than 10 years after receiving a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. When traditional medicine did little to help, David decided to explore spirituality, including prayer and meditation, which led him to find an energy method to healing.  He used his background as an engineer to experiment with sound, frequency, energy, as well as studying the work of Dr. Royal Rife who developed the Rife Machine. He experimented with the Rife-type machines available at the time. It was through that study that he invented a handheld instrument called the Qi Coils.

He took the Rife frequencies and captured them into a device. Using light technology and sound waves, he combined the frequency with electromagnetic coils to create soothing magnetic waves, which may aid in healing. This technology helped him heal his colitis. He then began to develop hundreds of other healing frequencies. Frequencies can reinforce cells in the body to make them stronger. He used these sound frequencies and magnetic energies to invent a device in which coils were made in a specific shape, in accordance with sacred geometry. This in turn becomes magnetic energy. This shape is how energy flows according to science. It’s like a vortex, so it relates to our chakras. It is a natural shape in nature and this technology replicates it. It creates its own flow. Sound makes us feel in certain ways and connects us to vibration. It is a focused, condensed energy. This energy helps with oxygen and blood flow, flushes the lymphatic system, and you start to detoxify the body. You can begin to feel a little bit happier and less stressed. His Qi Coils are similar to wireless chargers, using an induction field. David has also studied and developed ways to even change your luck! He developed abundance and luck tones by absorbing happier frequencies. It’s a rhythm that makes people feel upbeat and elevates the person’s mood, thereby creating optimism and consciousness starts to change.

David is a martial artist and 3rd generation Bruce Lee student. By studying Bruce Lee, he learned the philosophy of mastering one thing in your life -- take something complicated and simplify it to perfect it and master it.  When you put out the energy, you attract it. This is a way of bringing the energy to you and your body matches it. Vivid dreams can happen when using this technology as the frequencies activate intuitive, creative parts of brain. This technology can guide you toward making more creative solutions The Qi Coils system makes it easy for people to use this for at-home healing. This is Part 2 of the interview. What does it mean if you consider yourself a “good” person, maybe someone who meditates and practices mindfulness, but then “bad things” happen to you? Do you ask yourself if it could be karmic? Do you question your spirituality? Why do negative occurrences happen seemingly out of the blue and what should you do? Today’s guest, Dr. Wayne Dyer is one of the most popular best-selling authors and lecturers on spiritually motivational topics, and he will discuss how to look at life’s challenges and see the spiritual blessings and answers. Wayne, a dear friend of The Aware Show, joins us again to share his stories that create healing for all of us.  Are you or someone you know not feeling as well as you know you can? Have you explored options and you think you might be at a dead end with the advice of traditional medicine? Today’s guest will explain technologies that can help you bridge the gap between not feeling well and vibrant, optimal health. If we know that everything is energy, then it makes sense that the next level of medicine can incorporate cutting-edge technologies based on energy. Our guest today is author, visionary inventor, and Chi Gong Master David Wong. He talks about these new wellness technologies which use vibrational frequencies. Just as martial arts uses the body’s own energy, David began to study the further connection of frequencies and vibrations. After traditional Western Medicine combined with Chinese Herbs did little to heal his ulcerative colitis, David knew he had to find another form of relief.  He lived with constant pain for 10 years. Doctors advised surgery, and even after that, he would need to take medicine and deal with side effects, for the rest of his life.

David decided to explore spirituality, including prayer and meditation, which led him to finding an energy method to healing.  He used his background as an engineer to experiment with sound, frequency, energy, as well as studying the work of Dr. Royal Rife who developed the Rife Machine. He experimented with the Rife-type machines available at the time, but they were very expensive, huge, and clunky.

Today David demonstrates the electronic Pineal Gland activation frequency. Every body process has a frequency, as does our brain, as we see in various brainwave technology. Our cells are also in constant communication. We send instructions in an electro-magnetic field. We have a secret code and can direct our healing, whether it be an energizing frequency or a relaxing frequency. This can lessen inflammation, assist with anxiety and depression, improve sleep, help with neurodegenerative diseases, and so much more. Technology exists which can measure energy levels. Using this idea, you can take the frequency of the healthy cells to match a vibrant energy. This technology is based on science and has been used for decades. The Qi Coils system makes it easy for people to use this for at-home healing. This is Part 1 of the interview. Info: www.theawareshow.com/life
